WHAT IS HIPS?

HIPS is a vital DC-based non-profit that non-judgmentally serves the welfare and self-empowerment of sex workers through such activities as HIV/AIDS education; condom distribution; a weekend van that distributes HIV/AIDS information, condoms, and humanity to street sex workers; empowerment against abusive pimps and clients; and assistance with seeking alternative careers when sought.
