UC Davis and other government entitities in the United States should not whitewash the truth
Fairfax Virginia criminal defense lawyer on the need for governments and their entities not to bury the truth
Very disturbing news — apparently confirmed by UC-Davis — has been reported that University California- Davis has paid at least $175,000 to try to whitewash its police member(s) reprehensible (and nonchalant-appearing) pepper spraying of Occupy protestors (see the short video and long video) on November 18, 2011. We would expect such whitewashing behavior from the Chinese government, but should not accept such efforts by government entities in the United States, including UC-Davis, which is a state-run university.
UC-Davis can claim all it wants that it intended not to remove news on the pepper spraying, but just to bury it. This news should not be buried.
One way to thwart UC-Davis’s whitewashing efforts is to Google-search and YouTube search (UC Davis pepper spray 2011) and to click on resulting links. That is one way that Google rankings can increase for a website.
