Jul 22, 2009 Our phone system works again
Thanks to Verizon’s staff who quickly eliminated the fallout from a downed wire by first closing off the non-functioning phone line last night so that our phone and Internet system worked as if nothing was inoperable, but instead just one phone line short. Next, a repair professional arrived early this morning and examined the office building’s phone box to discover that the downed phone line was caused by the wire’s somehow getting disengaged; he re-engaged it.
Thanks, as well, to our phone consulting whiz who quickly identified the problem as originating outside our office suite and requiring Verizon’s assistance. With the help of all these people, our unavailability to after-hours callers was limited to around three to four hours.
