Peter Erlinder obtains medical release
Peter Erlinder (May 7, 2010, Washington, D.C.)
Peter Erlinder has obtained medical release from his pretrial caging in Rwanda over alleged genocide denial, for which he should be immunized to the extent any such alleged denial took place in connection with his legal assistance to Rwandan(s) charged in connection with genocide. I certainly oppose laws criminalizing genocide denial as a violation of basic free expression rights.
I look forward to Rwanda’s removing any roadblocks from leaving that country. It is critical that Rwanda’s criminal case against Peter be dropped entirely.
In this Democracy Now video of Peter from last week, he looks markedly different from when I taped him early last month in Washington, D.C. I like Peter, and send him all good karma to get back to good health.
