We enter and leave this world alone, and in between we repeatedly navigate life’s hustle and bustle.
This weekend’s snowstorm keeps me from wandering far from my home. I am with my wonderful wife and son, enjoying each other’s company and also each having time for moments of solitude.
Our power, potential and sense of well being starts from within ourselves. That means needing to know, gauge and re-set our internal selves by setting regular, preferably daily, slowed-down time aside to be be by ourselves in our wakeful state, for instance through meditation, yoga, or a solitary walk in a quiet place.
Tempting during this snowstorm might be to spend marathon sessions with videos, the Internet, music and other distractions from simply being with ourselves. Click.
