Mar 05, 2015 Snow has closed the courts – I am working from home today
Today is the second time this year that court has been closed due to snow. On February 17, the roads were clear for me, but a mess in other local neighborhoods. Today, all the Washington, D.C. area roads are too risky to drive more than a few miles.
I am working from home today.
I rarely have a workday when I am not in court, which means that a closed court requires me to reschedule the trials or hearings that got snowed out. For my case that got snowed out today, the prosecutor and I yesterday already agreed to a new court date in the event of snow today.
When a public student, I would rejoice at school snow closures. My eight-year-old son is home from school. I am sure we will make work break time for a snowball fight.
