Jan 22, 2014 Time for Obama to align his candor on marijuana safety with political action
What music it is to the ears to hear Barack Obama recently say: "I don’t think [marijuana] is more dangerous than alcohol." "As has been well documented, I smoked pot as a kid, and I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big chunk of my adult life."
In his autobiography, Obama also admits to having snorted cocaine in hi youth.
Good for Obama not to have gone the DARE / Parents for a Drug Free America route of shunning his past drug use through exhortations of "Do as I say, not as I did."
The next logical step is for Obama to push to reschedule marijuana to make it available as medicine, to push for its legalization, and to push heavily decriminalize all other drugs.
