Using Herman Melville in opposing a motion to stay money judgment – Kudos to Marc Randazza
Leave it to my irrepressible brother lawyer Marc Randazza to think of extensively using Herman Melville’s Bartleby the Scrivener in opposing a Righthaven motion to stay judgment pending appeal. Randazza fashions Righthaven as Bartleby, who is able to do as told, but "would prefer not to."
Talk about breathing life into a seemingly straightforward task of opposing such a motion.
Thanks to Marc for having providing the link to his opposition motion.
