Watchdog Jonathan Turley posts video of cop throwing arrestee to the ground
NOTE: Jon Katz is on vacation this week and returns August 20. We will be fully staffed while Jon is away. Jon’s full-time assistant Lorena is at firstname.lastname@example.org and 301-495-7755, ext. 226. Jon has meeting times available around his court calendar every day upon his return.
Does Jonathan Turley sleep? If not, how does he find time to blog throughout the day (among the handful of my essential sources to minimize missing essential news items of the day), handle work as a full-time law professor at my alma mater, appear repeatedly in the news media, and spend time with this family?
Whatever the answer, Jonathan Turley is a key watchdog who never shies from stating his opinions, wheher I agree or not, and often I agree.
In a July 31 blogpost, Turley provides video and commentary about a police officer throwing an arrestee to the ground in the New York City subway system. With insufficient information to do otherwise, Turley does not judge the cop, but underlines how essential video is to shining the light on police behavior.
Thanks, Jonathan Turley, for the essential service you provide through your blog.
