Jan 07, 2015 We are Charlie Hebdo – Do not self-censor
After today’s beyond-reprehensible killings at Charlie Hebdo, some may wonder whether to self-censor to avoid being targets of violence for their words. To so self-censor is to hand victory to those threatening people for their words. Do not give them that victory.
By coincidence, I parked today right across the French Embassy in Washington, D.C., with this banner reading “Nous sommes Charlie Hebdo”/”We are Charlie Hebdo.”
Praying to those killed and wounded by this violence, and their loved ones. Na Mu Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo.
