Last week the Voice of America’s Chinese edition interviewed me for its story on the Westboro Baptist Church case that has been granted certiorari review in the Supreme Court.

I defended WBC at trial, and am not currently involved with the appeal. Nevertheless, I took advantage of the opportunity to spread the word of robust free expression to potentially millions of people in China, whose current and past governments have been seriously brutal with dissidents. The interviewer told me that my voice in English ran up to fifteen seconds with a Chinese voice-over, but the audio is not online.
