Abby was born and raised in Arizona and recently moved to Virginia. She previously worked in Maricopa County Superior Court for 7 years. Abby has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northern Arizona University, a Master’s Degree in psychology from University of North Dakota, and a Certification in Paralegal Studies from Phoenix College. Abby is passionate about travel and hopes to one day visit all the U.S. National Parks as well as step foot on every continent. In her free time, Abby loves being outdoors, reading and spending time with her Chocolate Labrador puppy, Thunder.
Abby strives to provide the best services she can to the community around her and believes she can accomplish that by working at Jon Katz’s Law Office.
Rachel Kern
Past Legal Assistant (2022-24). In 2024, Rachel transitioned to remote work with another organization due to her military family's reassignment.
Rachel spent over 8 years in the United States Army as a military police officer, with professional travels including El Salvador, Cuba, and various places across the United States. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Post Baccalaureate Certification in Paralegal Studies from Purdue University Global. Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters, especially traveling and activities outdoors. Rachel has volunteered as a pet foster parent for the Humane Societies of El Paso and Prince George's County, a Family Readiness Group Leader for the United States Army, a Girl Scout Troop Money Manager, and currently a Girl Scout Troop Leader.
Rachel is passionate about helping people, which is why she feels Jon Katz's law office is the perfect place for her.
