Alcohol consumption risks can extend beyond a mere DWI conviction, says Fairfax DUI lawyer

Alcohol consumption risks can include a DWI conviction numerous other consequences. As a Fairfax DUI lawyer, I advise my clients on those relevant risks and work to blunt them. Code § 18.2-51.4.

– A DUI conviction brings six demerit points off one’s Virginia driver’s license.

Merely lawfully possessing a concealed handgun while engaged in alcohol consumption on the premises of a liquor-serving restaurant or club is a Class 2 misdemeanor. Va. Code § 18.2-308.012(B).

– A DUI conviction precludes one from obtaining a concealed carry handgun permit for three years.
